The Homestead: in 1802 it was the most modern family house

In 1743 Francis Van den Bossche bought an paper mill and became papermaker. 20 years later Gillis Winderickx (1743-1801), who was coming from the paper manufacturer family from Dworp, married miss Van den Bossche.

In 1802 Gillis Winderickx, the oldest son of Gillis, constructed a new, in that time the most fashionable, family house.

In 1882 next Winderickx generation modernized a family house. The left site, which was a stable, was changed for a bureau. Cows were moved to a new constructed building behind a family house.
