The Homestead: in 1802 it was the most modern family house
In 1743 Francis Van den Bossche bought an paper mill and became papermaker. 20 years later Gillis Winderickx (1743-1801), who was coming from the paper manufacturer family from Dworp, married miss Van den Bossche.
In 1802 Gillis Winderickx, the oldest son of Gillis, constructed a new, in that time the most fashionable, family house.

In 1882 next Winderickx generation modernized a family house. The left site, which was a stable, was changed for a bureau. Cows were moved to a new constructed building behind a family house.

Open hours and reservations
Family Winderickx house is situated at the public path but you may look at it only from outside. Paper mill and Cardboard Factory is open for visitors. You may visit them during our opening hours or contac us for more information about reservation.
